Chinese Bellflower
Platycodon grandiflorus
Balloon flower gets its name from the way each flower bud swells before its starry petals unfold.Flower buds resemble a balloon or Chinese lantern, which is reminiscent of its native habitat of eastern Asia.
The term platycodon means "flat bell" which describes its opened flowers.

They are very nice but I found them hard to transplant to my new garden.
I have 3 short ones that I planted to fill holes last year, and this year have had to trim the catmint next to one of them when it started to flop over it.
I noticed I'd already commented on your strawflower in a comment on a different post. I am so scatterbrained!
