I did a post about Prairie Smoke on May 5th. You can see it
here. It is a Minnesota native prairie plant. It is a favorite for poets and photographers because of its seed heads of 2” feathery plumes which gives it a “smoky” appearance. They look like a feather duster. It is just starting to get this feathery plumes.

That is very cool! I have never seen one in Iowa, but I'll keep my eyes peeled, now!
It has an etherial beauty. Oddly I've never seen it "in the wild." Wondering where it can be found?
Another plant that I've never heard of before.....you're always educating me. I can see why it's favored by poets and photographers.

What an unusual plant. So pretty. Reminds a little of a mimosa bloom.
