Kid's Flowerbed Room

This bed is one I had as a child.  It has been in this garden for about 6 years.  It is starting to fall apart, but I still love to fill it up with annuals.

This chair is overflowing with sedum.

 We have had some really hot days without rain.  It has been hard on my beds.

"Wee Wittle" Gardens

Here are a few of the "Wee Wittle" Gardens I have been making.  My mom and I are having our annual sale in May. You can Check it out here.

We have had nice weather here, but that is changing.  We are scheduled to have freezing temps the next 3 days.  I did uncover a couple of my small beds, but have a lot more to uncover.  It is just so hard to be patient and wait for warmer weather.

Zinnia's & Asters

Two plants that are still blooming in my garden are zinnia's and asters.  I love the color!

Flower bed and sedum chair

This is my annual flower bed.  I like to plant mostly annuals in this bed so I can till it up and plant different flowers in it each year.

This might be the last year for this bed frame. It is starting to fall apart.  This was my bed when I was a kid.  It has been so much fun to have it in my garden.

Celosia

Common name is Cockscomb. The flowers belong to the amaranth family, Amaranthaceae. Cockscomb bloom with a compacted crested head 2-5 inches across, on leafy stems that are 12-28 inches long. The flower's name is suggestive of a rooster's comb. Cockscomb Flower blooms from late summer through late fall.

I just love his variegated one.  I had never seen this before.

Gaillardia, sometimes known as Blanket Flower, can be annuals, biennials, or perennials in our zone 4.  I just love them!

Monarch migration and zinnias

It is monarch migration time and they just love the zinnia.  That is a good thing because I have a ton of zinnias blooming right now.

One thing about Monarchs, they don't care what the flowers looks like.  They like to land on the flowers that should have been deadheaded.

Lisianthus and Dahlias

Lisianthus is my second favorite annuals. I have a few different kinds this year.
