goldfinches

This is the first winter I have had goldfinches.  I see them at my feeders a lot in the summer, but never in the winter.  This has been a wonderful treat for me to see them this time of the year.

Blue Jays

There has been a lot of blue jays around. I love watching the blue jays. They are loud and naughty, but oh so beautiful.

Pretty Lady

I think the female cardinal is just a gorgeous as the male.  I am always excited when she comes to visit.

Robins

The robins are still here.  I wonder how long they will stay around.  My back yard has been full of them.  

Cedar Waxwing?

I am just beginning to learn about birds.  I believe these are cedar waxwings.  Please correct me if I am wrong. 

We had our first snow fall this weekend.  This is very late in the season for us.  I always put out extra feeders when the snow starts.  I can't wait to see what other birds visit my backyard.

Back to the birds

My garden is put to bed for another season.  Now I have time for the birds.  My second favorite thing to do.  Here are a few photos from Sunday.  What a gorgeous day!
