We just made it though another snow storm.  We received 14" in 2 days. It is supposed to continue to snow off and on all week.

Downy or Hariy Woodpecker

I think this is a Hairy Woodpecker, because it has a longer bill.  It is so hard to identify.  It is much easier when they are together.  Please tell me what you think.  Thanks

Oh deer, it is COLD!

I see these deer every morning on my way to work.  This morning the temp read -19 F. 

I am thankful for the farmer that left a little corn in his field for the wildlife to eat.  I am thankful for the beautiful deer I see every morning on my way to work.  I am most thankful that this cold weather will not stay forever and SPRING will be coming.  I can't wait to be in my garden!
