I haven't seen the female cardinal the last couple days. Hope she is ok.
Today is Outdoor Wednesday. Please check out the others here. Thanks to our host Susan at a Southern Daydreamer.

These are the first photos of the pair of cardinals that have come to my feeder. I hope to see more of them. I think this is my new favorite bird. I love the color. One thing I have read about cardinals is the average life span is 15 years. WOW! To learn more about cardinals click here.
I had some great advice from a fellow blogger regarding how to keep my heated birdbath from freezing over. Please check out his blog here. I put my birdbath at an angle and that has worked so far for me, but our temperatures have been warmer. I received this birdbath from my husband for Christmas and it has been so much fun to watch the birds.

I am just starting to learn about birds and this is the first time I have seen this bird. I believe it is a Northern Flicker. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Today is Fertilizer Fridays/Flaunt Your Flowers by our host Tootsie Time. I love her blog. You can check it out here. Because I am in zone 4 my flower beds are under a quilt of snow.
This is the front side of our house yesterday morning.
A view from the front door.

This is a quilt I made my friend for all her help painting.
kitchen is done. We had taken everything out and started from scratch. My husband and I did a lot of the work. We started in April and finished in November.
Our family room is now completed. Just a few more rooms to go. Please check out the other Pink Saturday posts here.
My flower beds are under a quilt of snow, so I am learning about birds. I believe this is a male dark-eyed junco. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Blue jays will take a whole peanut and fly away. They have been fun to watch. Check out the other Mosaic Monday. Thanks to Mary at Little Red House.
