My sister-in-law and I made cookies on Thanksgiving Day. They were so much fun to make. It was my husband's birthday the next day so we decided to celebrate it a little early.

My friends and I have a fantastic tradition of making lefse before Thanksgiving. This tradition started about 5 years ago. It is so much fun and the lefse is delicious!
And our tradition continues with a new baker. She has helped us before, but was even a bigger help this year.

I drive past Robbins Island every day on my way to and from work. I have not been to Robbins Island since I was a teen. (About 20 years, for those who don't know me.) I always thought it was dirty, polluted, gross and just not a very pretty place. Yesterday on my drive the sky was so gorgeous I just had to stop. I am so glad I did. It was nothing like I remembered. The sunset was magnificent. Please check out the others at Skywatch Friday.
Happy outdoor Wednesday. We have had some gorgeous weather here in Minnesota. The trees have all lost there leaves. Most of the color is gone except for the grasses. I am so happy to find these pink snapdragons still blooming. Snapdragons are hardy and can handle a heavy frost. We have had several heavy frosts.

I just found out about this garden and went there for the first time yesterday on my lunch hour. This garden is located at the Hope Presbyterian Church in Spicer, MN. It was past the "prime time" for fall color, but still worth the drive. To learn more about the garden you can check out on their website here. They have a PDF called Prayer Garden Booklet with photos creating this garden. From what I can tell, it is a new garden. This will be on my list of gardens to visit next year.
