I put my birdbath at an angle and that has worked so far for me, but our temperatures have been warmer. I received this birdbath from my husband for Christmas and it has been so much fun to watch the birds.

Heated Birdbath

Mmmm. Seems like a great idea but my 100 lb. GSD might just decide to hop into it. He has the run of the yard. :)
That is a neat looking bird bath. The blue jay looks like he likes it. I enjoyed your luau, and other cardinal photos, too.
